Mission statement
Cambodian Care is a local Khmer Christian organization which is representing the Kingdom of God by working with the poor, carrying His love, promoting restoration, seeking justice, and building up great future leaders of Cambodia by using the leadership model of Jesus Christ.
Vision
Every child reaches their own fullness of life and becomes a member of the family of God.
Core values
At Cambodian Care, we strongly believe that:
Compassion
God has called us to show and share the compassion of Jesus Christ to those who are suffering, exploited, oppressed and living in poverty which affects them physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. We believe that individuals are created in the image of God and they should be valued, respected and helped in their own life context. Matthew 9:35-36, Mark 6:30-44.
Equality
God has called us to serve the oppressed, the poor and the vulnerable, regardless of their race, age, and political or religious belief. We believe that every child and adult should have equal opportunities to develop holistically because God has created man and woman and given them all opportunities to make choices in life. Genesis 1:26-27.
Quality
God has called us to be His representatives here on earth and to be a witness to others so we operate our ministry with a high level of professionalism. We are committed to a high level of integrity in all our reporting, working, connecting and communications. We also strongly encourage all of our staff, volunteers and interns to maintain a high level of integrity in their personal lives. Colossians 3:22-25.
Servanthood
God has called us to serve the people we are working with and for. We will not manipulate them. The Bible says that “Those who want to lead, must serve others” We are humble and listen to them and act on their behalf so that their voices can be heard. Mark 9:33-37.
Stewardship
God has called us to be faithful servants in managing the resources that have been given or donated to the ministry with wisdom and integrity. Corruption in any form will not be tolerated. We will only partner with churches, funding organizations and friends who have the same high level of integrity ensuring that the resources which God has provided are used effectively. Matthew 25:14-30, Colossians 1:10-11.
